Managing Windows

The main window of IDE is divided into 9 areas: Top-left, Top-right, Left-top, Left-bottom, Bottom-left, Bottom-right, Right-top, Right-bottom and the Main. Each of these areas can host multiple windows using the tab interface. In main window, the tabs are displayed in the top of the area; While in the rest of the windows, the tabs are displayed in the bottom of the area. Any IDE window can be displayed in any of these areas. Except for the Main area, each area is automatically displayed if it hosts any visible window, and automatically hides if it does not host any visible window.

If any of windows is dirty -- there is modification of the document, you are asked to save the document before closing the window.

To Refresh Content of a Window:

  1. Make the window active window.
  2. Choose View >Refresh.

To Move a Window to Another Area:

  1. Make the window active window.
  2. Choose Window>Dock To>Top-left (Or any destination area).

To Resize an Area:

Except main area, you can resize the area by dragging the resizing bar to desire position. The resize bar is the border between the area and the main area with resizing cursor when mouse is over it.

To Make an Area as Domain Area:

The border areas (Top, bottom, Left, Right) share the four corners in the window (Top-Left, Top-Right, Bottom-Left, Bottom-Right). The one that occupy the corners is domain area. To make a non-domain area as a domain area:

To Maximum an Area

An area can take the whole area of the main window and hide all other areas, to do this

  1. Make the window active window.
  2. Choose Window>Maximum (Shift-Esc).

To restore a maximum area to normal view
